I'm Louise Victoria Melvin, the founder and beautician behind Loulou's Beauty, a private studio based on Knowle Road, Rowley Regis. I specialise in four crafts close to my heart: Hyperrealism Brows (SPMU), BIAB nails, Korean Lash Lifts and the UV Lash System. Alongside these signature services, I also offer classic lash lifts, brow lamination, and brow waxing & tinting. It's a considered edit of treatments rather than a long menu, because I believe in doing a few things exceptionally well.

My approach is simple. Whether you arrive wanting something soft and natural or something bolder and more creative, we'll work together to design a look that feels unmistakably you. I take my time with every client, properly listening, consulting and mapping, so the result is never rushed and never off-the-shelf.

Preparation & aftercare, the Loulou's way

A beautiful result starts before you even arrive at the studio and continues for several weeks afterwards. Here's the short version of how to prepare for your appointment and look after your new brows or nails once you leave.

Before your SPMU appointment

In the week leading up to your Hyperrealism Brows session, please avoid retinol, strong exfoliating acids, brow tinting, waxing and threading. Skip caffeine and alcohol the day before, as both can affect how the pigment settles into the skin. Arrive with a clean, moisturised face (no makeup on the brow area) and wear something comfortable, you'll be lying down for a while.

For BIAB nail appointments, remove any old polish before arriving if you can, and avoid hand creams on the day so the gel adheres beautifully. If you're coming from Dudley, Halesowen or further afield, give yourself a few extra minutes to park and breathe before we begin.

After your treatment

Your brows will look slightly bolder for the first 3 to 5 days; this is completely normal and will soften by around 30 percent as the skin heals. Keep them clean and dry, avoid makeup directly on the area for 10 days, and stay out of saunas, steam rooms and direct sunlight while healing. A detailed written aftercare sheet and a small aftercare balm are included with every SPMU appointment.

For BIAB nails, simply apply a little cuticle oil daily, wear gloves when washing up, and book your infill around the 3 to 4 week mark. Treat the nails as jewellery, not as tools; they'll thank you for it, and so will your natural nail bed.

Hyperrealism Brows are a modern form of semi permanent makeup (SPMU) where ultra-fine, individually drawn hair strokes are implanted into the upper layers of the skin using a precision digital machine. The finish mimics real brow hairs so closely that the results genuinely blend into your natural brow, even at close range and in natural daylight. Unlike older microblading techniques which use a manual blade, the digital machine delivers crisp, consistent strokes that heal softly and age beautifully. Results typically last between 12 and 18 months, with a complimentary top-up 6 to 8 weeks after your initial session to perfect density and colour.

Your first SPMU session is allocated roughly two and a half to three hours. That includes a full consultation, bespoke brow mapping measured to your face, a numbing phase, and then the hyperrealism hair stroke work itself. I never rush this appointment: the mapping is the most important part of the whole treatment.

BIAB (Builder In A Bottle) is a soak-off gel that's applied in thin layers to strengthen and protect your natural nail, rather than sitting on top like an acrylic. Most clients see their natural nails grow longer and healthier after a few cycles of BIAB. You can remove it safely, infill it every three to four weeks, and pair it with any colour or nude finish.

Loulou's Beauty is based on Knowle Road, Rowley Regis, West Midlands. The studio is a calm, private space, not a busy salon floor, so every client has complete quiet and privacy during their treatment. Yes — and I strongly recommend it. A consultation lets us discuss your natural brow shape, lifestyle, skin type, any previous permanent makeup and your preferred finish. You'll leave understanding exactly what to expect, how the healing timeline works, and what aftercare looks like. Consultations can be done in person or virtually.

All bookings are made through the booking link (Book Now at the top of this page) or by messaging directly through Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp. A small non-refundable deposit secures your appointment and is taken off your final balance on the day. The remainder is paid in the studio after your treatment by card or cash. Rebooking or rescheduling with more than 48 hours' notice is always welcomed.

All treatments take place at the Knowle Road studio in Rowley Regis for insurance, hygiene and precision reasons, especially SPMU. The studio is easy to reach from Oldbury, Halesowen, Cradley Heath, Dudley, Blackheath, Smethwick and the wider West Midlands, usually within a 10 to 20 minute drive.
